ZAGREB, 29 May 2008 – Raiffeisen Voluntary Pension Fund Management Company («RDMD») received a special award for its contribution to the Croatian capital markets at the "Golden Share of the Year" presentation ceremony. The award was presented to the company for its transparency and openness to the public.
In 2007 RDMD retained its leading market position accounting for almost 49 percent of total assets of open-end voluntary pension funds.
The company closed the year managing seven voluntary pension funds: one open-end fund, Raiffeisen Voluntary Pension Fund, and six closed-end funds, ZDMF Ericsson Nikola Tesla, ZDMF Hrvatskog liječničkog sindikata, ZDMF Novinar, ZDMF T-HT-a, ZDMF T-Mobile and ZDMF Sindikat Hrvatskih željezničara. The last two funds commenced operation in the second half of 2007.
Net assets of Raiffeisen Voluntary Pension Fund exceeded HRK 337.77 million at year-end 2007, up by almost 60 per cent on the year before. The value of the unit of account reached HRK 159.7848 and the Fund’s return since inception on annual level yield was 9.06 per cent. The company closed the year with a total number of 32,747 members, up by 25.94 per cent on 2006.
An increasing number of persons in Croatia have recognized the benefits of investing in voluntary pension funds, and the possibility of using the government incentive is an additional stimulant to this form of savings.
RDMD’s successful performance is best proven by numerous awards, such as the Golden Unit for the Best Company in 2006 and 2005, and the award that the Company won as the best open-end voluntary pension fund in Croatia and the best closed-end voluntary pension fund under the auspices of the Croatian Medical Union in 2005.
With a view of providing full service to RDMF members, including payment of pensions, Raiffeisenbank Austria d.d. (RBA) has founded Raiffeisen Pension Insurance Company, the only such company in Croatia at present. |
